Ms. Melanie Latrice Brown, 44, of Augusta, GA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She will truly be missed by her loving family and friends. Her Life and Legacy will be celebrated with a Visitation/Viewing on Thursday, May 21, 2026, 2-7pm at Martin Taylor Funeral Home, 911 Appling Harlem Rd, Harlem, GA 30814. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, 12pm at Broadway Baptist Church, 2323 Barton Chapel Rd, Augusta, GA 30906. She will lie in state 1 hour prior to the Funeral Service. Please continue to keep the family and friends lifted up in prayer as they navigate through this time of bereavement.

Melanie leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving mother, Cynthia Smith of Augusta, Georgia; her father, Roy Brown of Dearing, Georgia; her beloved children, Jordyn Brown and Jayden Leverette; and-her cherished grandchildren, Jaquez Brown, Montavious Scott, and Treasure Scott. She also leaves behind her devoted brother, Travis Brown of Augusta, Georgia; her loving sisters, Markeisha Dorsey of Augusta, Georgia, Melissa Brown of Thomson, Georgia and Tawanda Renee Turman of Dearing, Georgia; her beloved grandmother, Mildred Thomas; and a loving and devoted nephew, Travis Brown Jr. She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces: Sharinika Turman, Jaquasia Johnson, and Sharquvious Turman; her nephews: Ja'Cory Strickland, Jaxson Gibson, Dorion Brown, Bryson Murray, Damelo Brown, and Shyheem Brown; along with six great-nieces and four great-nephews. Melanie also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends who will forever treasure the memories shared with her.
