Obituary for matthew johnson

Mr. Matthew Johnson, affectionately known as "Toddy," of Columbia County, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 16, 2024. He will truly be missed by his loving family and friends. His Life and Legacy will be celebrated with a Visitation/Viewing, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, 3-7pm at Martin Taylor Funeral Home 911 Appling Harlem Rd, Harlem, GA 30814. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, 1pm at Water Branch Baptist Church Cemetery 1194 Rolland Rd, Harlem GA 30814. Please continue to keep the family and friends lifted up in prayer as they navigate through this difficult time of bereavement.

Matthew leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Anthony (Marshall) Johnson of Grovetown, Ga. and Marvin Johnson of Harlem, Ga; one brother, Handy Johnson of Dearing, Ga; one God-brother, Willie Jones of Harlem, Ga; five grandchildren, Ebony Collier, Kaniyah Johnson, Shamari Johnson, Marie and Marvelous Johnson; four step-daughters, Regina (Ronnie) Smalley of Augusta, Ga. Belinda (Clarence) McCray of Jonesboro, Ga. Eva Germany of Harlem, Ga. and LaKeisha Williams of Grovetown, Ga; three step-sons, John Williams of Harlem, Ga. Gregory Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.  and Gerry Williams of Conyers Ga; one devoted grandson Maurice Dorsey, and a host of other step-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Johnson of Harlem, Ga; one God-daughter, Sabrina Jones of Harlem, Ga; one devoted friend and caregiver, Gail Dixon of Wrens, Ga; three devoted friends, James Dunn, Raymond Bell, and Robert Burns; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
