Obituary for john williams
Mr. John D. Williams, Jr., 88, affectionately known as "John David", of Harlem, GA entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. He will truly be missed by his loving family and friends. His Life and Legacy will be celebrated with a Visitation/Viewing on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 2-7 pm at Martin Taylor Funeral Home 911 Appling Harlem Rd, Harlem GA 30814. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, 2 pm at Simonia Baptist Church 534 Louisville Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813. He will lie in state one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Simonia Baptist Church Cemetery located on the Church's grounds. Please continue to keep the family and friends lifted up in prayer as they navigate through this time of bereavement.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, 3 daughters; Belinda (Clarence) McCray of Jonesboro, GA. Eva Germany of Harlem, GA. Jennifer Johnson of Hampton, GA. five sons; John (Laverne) Williams of Augusta, GA. Gregory Williams of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Gerry Williams of Conyers, GA., Michael (Rosalyn) Williams of Hephzibah, GA. John D. Williams Jr of Aiken, SC. 2 step-daughters; Lakeisha Williams, Grovetown, GA., Shirley Woodard of Grovetown, GA., four step-sons Yarkey Nelson, Johnny Nelson, Bernika Nelson, Jeffrey Beard all of Harlem, GA. 2 sisters; Carrie Cartledge and Ezella Willliams of Harlem, GA. 2 brothers; Dan Williams of Thomson, GA and Timothy Williams of Harlem, GA. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. And a host of other relative and friends.
