Mr. Joe Lewis Leverett, 70, of Appling, GA entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 26, 2025. He will truly be missed by his loving family and friends. His Life and Legacy will be celebrated with a Visitation/Viewing, Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 2-7pm at Martin Taylor Funeral Home 911 Appling Harlem Rd, Harlem GA 30814. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, 2:00 pm at Olive Grove Baptist Church 6227 Columbia Rd, Appling, GA 30802. Interment with Military Honors will take place immediately, afterwards at Olive Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (on Church's grounds). Please continue to keep the family and friends lifted up in prayer as they navigate through this time of bereavement.

 

He is survived by his son, Terrance “Bear” Parks, and his daughters, Jessica Rogers and Rochelle Thomas. In addition, Joe leaves behind four stepdaughters and a host of grandchildren, who will continue to cherish his memory and carry forward his legacy of love.
He also leaves behind his devoted siblings: Lucille (Paul) Dicks, Vera (Bernard) Johnson, Francean (Vince) Jackson, and Mike (Tonya) Leverett. Joe is further remembered by his uncles and aunts: Robert (Gracie) Leverett, Mary Barnes, Robert (Sandra) Lampkin, and Ethel Colvin, along with his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
