Mr. James W. Stokes, Jr., 78, of Evans, GA entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 22, 2025 peacefully at his residence. He will truly be missed by his loving family and friends. His Life and Legacy will be celebrated with a Memorial Service held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11 am at Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church, 703 Furys Ferry Rd, Evans, GA 30809. He is survived by his wife Frances Stokes of 54 years; son James W. Stokes III, his brothers; Cluease Stokes (Patricia) of Johnston, SC, Freddie L. Stokes (Janet) of Atlanta, GA; and sister Claudine Brooks of Evans, GA and sister in law Cynthia Pullins-Stokes also of Evans, GA; granddaughters Kahliana Sullivan, Jai’Ana Stokes, Kyrhstan Sullivan, Jaziah Stokes; great granddaughter Nautica Sullivan-Walker; a host of nieces , nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
