Mrs. Charity R. Johnson, 77, affectionately known as "Chat," of Augusta, GA, originally from Appling, GA entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She will truly be missed by her loving family and friends. There will be no public Visitation/Viewing. Her Life and Legacy will be celebrated with a Funeral Service on Friday, February 6, 2026, 2:00 pm at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2944 Scott's Ferry Rd, Appling, GA 30802. The Interment and final resting place will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro, Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Deacon Vernard Johnson of Augusta, Ga; children, Tiaria (Reginald) Williams of Hephzibah, Ga and Rochelle Rolland of Grovetown, Ga; grandchildren: Shauntrice Tankersley, Jamal and Jamario Thompson; special niece, Tangee Garnett; four sisters, Lillian Price of Augusta, Ga, Mammie Rolland of Grovetown, Ga, Emma (Lawrence) Quiller Sr. of Graniteville, SC., Beatrice Smith of Augusta, Ga; sister-in-law, Annette Rickerson of Harlem, Ga; brother-in-law, Robert Walton of Augusta, Ga; best and lifetime friend, Mary Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
